Sciencell Human Primary Keratinocytes Cells

ScienCell’s Human Primary Cells

ScienCell’s human primary cells are isolated from normal human tissue. They are cryopreserved immediately after purification and delivered frozen. All cells are rigorously tested to meet our high standard and specifications. ScienCell’s primary cells should be cultured in a 37°C, 5% CO2 incubator to maintain the optimal pH of the medium.

Sciencell Human Keratinocytes Cells

Keratinocytes, the main cell type of the epidermis, provide a protective barrier against environmental damage such as bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses, dehydration, and heat. Keratinocytes produce keratin and play a significant role in tissue repair and wound healing. Keratinocytes are also involved in skin innate immunity and tissue homeostasis. Cultured human primary keratinocytes can be used to study the mechanisms of wound healing, psorasis, and skin cancer.

5 types of Keratinocytes cells are available from Sciencell as per list below.

Human Epidermal Keratinocytes-neonatal (HEK)
Isolated from neonatal human skin. HEK are cryopreserved at P0 and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume.

2110

Human Epidermal Keratinocytes-adult (HEK-a)
Isolated from adult human skin. HEK-a are cryopreserved at P0 and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume.

2120

Human Epidermal Keratinocytes-fetal (HEK-f)
Isolated from fetal human skin. HEK-f are cryopreserved at P0 and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume.
