TMS Water Activity Meter Calibration and Preventive Maintenance is performed by a trained technician. Our technician are certified by manufacturer -MeterFood Group, USA. The tools, calibration kit, cleaning kit and calibration software are licensed by MeterFood Group (Aqualab Water Activity Meter Manufacturer, previously called Decagon Devices, Inc, USA). TMS is the only licensed & authorized service centre for all Aqualab Water Activity Meter in Malaysia.
We provide complete water activity (plus temperature) calibration, fine tuning and standard curve adjustment. Furthermore, we complete our preventive maintenance service with firmware update, factory-based cleaning, and comprehensive checking on the device. We ensure you have the most accurate, reliable and well-maintained device after every service.
Different between calibration and verification of Water Activity, Aw
Calibration of Water Activity, Aw indicates the error of the instrument and compensates for any lack of trueness by applying a correction. In practical it means making adjustment of calibration curve with proprietary calibration software from Meter Food by a trained and certified technician.
Verification of Water Activity, Aw indicates that the measurement error is smaller than a so called maximum permissible error. This can be done by user using verification kit. It does not adjust the calibration curve build into the MeterFood’s Water Activity Meter.
Why send your Water Activity Meter to TMS for calibration?
We are certified and trained service provider in Malaysia for all Aqualab meter. Only TMS is giving the authorisation from MeterFood, USA to Sales and service all their devices. TMS able to calibrate Aqualab Water Activity Meter according the standard prescribed by MeterFood. In TMS we are using software called Decaterm, licensed by MeterFood, USA to establish guidelines for proper Aqualab Water Activity calibration procedures in order to ensure the accuracy and precision of the instrument. The other calibrator may provide you the so called “Calibration”, but in fact they are just performing verification with no factory-based correction using the software. At the end, you are getting an inaccurate readings even after the calibration if you send to external non authorised calibrator.

- Water Activity, Aw Calibration with licensed software from MeterFood with standard curve adjustment to ensure accuracy, 5 points calibration kit : 0.250 Aw, 0.500 Aw, 0.760 Aw, 0.980 Aw and 1.000 Aw
- Water Activity, Aw Verification with 5 points verification kit : 0.250 Aw, 0.500 Aw, 0.760 Aw, 0.980 Aw and 1.000 Aw
- Temperature calibration with SAMM certificate, using special temperature probe from Meterfood to test the whole measuring chamber
- Complete inside and outside factory cleaning
- Perform complete hardware and firmware check (performance metrics)
- Firmware update
- Complete test report and calibration certification
